When first-time customers open the door to Classic Sportswear and Promotions, they often are amazed by the array of clothing, leather goods and other items that have been making marketing officers and executives at companies like Viacom's MTV, Citigroup, General Electric, Sony, News Corp. Heineken and Pepsi-Cola happy for a decade.

Owned and operated by Michael and Daniel McGurk, the business supplies many Fortune 100 companies with logoed and personalized items for valued employees and customers.

Other clients have included NFL Properties, the New York Mets, Pinnacle Baseball Cards and "Late Night with David Letterman."

Our baseball promotions are legendary. We created a line of vintage baseball tunics that wowed every client of ours who wore them in the '90's. We recreated history with themed uniforms and memorabilia worth remembering.

More and more clients wanted to engage us on other levels, so we moved to bigger leagues, and broadened our sights. Now we can provide you with everything from mass volumes of soft-toy promotions that get your name on every desk in the office, up to a unique, hand-tooled Veronese leather satchel that's wrapped around the achievements of a top vice-president.

Michael McGurk

President and Founder

Michael McGurk has originated, developed and implemented multifaceted marketing campaigns for some of the country's most respected corporate, sports and entertainment organizations. Personally overseeing each campaign from the design phase to closing, Mr. McGurk's hallmark is his integrated approach to marketing, combining a deep understanding of his clients' message with innovative products and events.

Prior to founding Classic Sportswear and Promotions in 1992, Mr. McGurk was a top producing national sales manager for Athlon Publications, a leading publisher of professional sports magazines such as for the NFL, NBA and professional baseball magazines.

During that time, he developed unique cross-promotional ties with top marketing companies, including Kodak, Heineken, Mobil, Gillette, Bausch & Lomb, and many others. Mr. McGurk also oversaw tie-ins with corporate sports tailgates, the Super Bowl, and major college bowls, as well as growing the custom publishing area.

Building on this diverse experience, Mr. McGurk has led Classic Sportswear and Promotions to develop marketing campaigns for such high-profile organizations as NFL Properties, Citigroup, and GE. Recent projects include work for JVC Jazz festival, MTV/Viacom, and BBDO.

Mr. McGurk continues to partner with his clients, providing highly-targeted strategic and tactical marketing counsel and generating measurable results for local, regional and national projects.

Mr. McGurk received a Marketing degree from Post College. He is a lifelong resident of Greenwich, CT.


Dan McGurk

Co-founder and Director of Marketing

Dan McGurk guides Classic Sportswear and Promotions' industry leading project development team, engineering custom-tailored materials and events for a wide variety of clients throughout the country. Mr. McGurk draws upon his top-flight sales and publishing background to exceed clients' expectations, consistently creating unique and memorable marketing programs.

Known for his intuitive grasp of his clients' corporate identity, Mr. McGurk developed this skill as a leading national sales manager for several top B2B publishers such as Penton Publishing and Intertec Publishing. Among other accomplishments, Mr. McGurk was part of Cellular Business Magazine's founding team, pioneering the field of telecommunications media, and guided Lodging Hospitality Magazine through a period of remarkable growth.

In addition to growing these and other titles, Mr. McGurk was also responsible for national trade show development, including new business contracts with Carrier, Motorolla, Panasonic, Fujitsu, Fuji, and many leading businesses.

As co-founder and Director of Marketing for Classic Sportswear and Promotions, Mr. McGurk leverages this vast experience to redefine what marketing can accomplish for his clients. With a host of projects under his control, ranging from internal recognition programs to customer loyalty and retention products, Mr. McGurk continues to solidify Classics' leadership position in the marketing industry.

Mr. McGurk received a Psychology degree from Widener University. A lifelong resident of Connecticut, he currently lives in Trumbull.


Dominic Francia

Promotions Director

As Promotions Director for Classic Sportswear and Promotions, Dominic Francia brings tremendous creativity and operations experience to every facet of the business. Having operated within some of the country's leading sports organizations, Mr. Francia applies the clarity of his clients' perspective to every project that demands his unrivaled market knowledge.

Prior to joining Classic Sportswear and Promotions' management team in 1996, Dominic had over a decade of sports marketing and promotions experience for a variety of sports organizations, including the NFL. His responsibilities included an entire spectrum of marketing projects touching millions of end-customers, growing and solidifying long-term relationships between various sports organizations and their rapidly evolving demographic base.

Mr. Francia focuses on meeting his clients' demand for cutting-edge programs that are responsive to popular cultural trends, while communicating core branding and identity.

Mr. Francia currently resides in Greenwich, CT.
