Baseball Gloves

For a great selection of baseball gloves from top manufacturers like:

Here at Hit! Run! Score! we know that choosing the right baseball equipment is fundamental to playing your best baseball. We've put together a series of resources to make the buying decision a little easier. In this section you'll find equipment buyer's guides for most of our sports, and size and color charts to ensure you get the right product the first time.

How to Measure a Baseball Glove Baseball gloves are measured by starting at the top of the index finger of the glove and measuring down the finger, along the inside of the pocket and then out to the heel of the glove. Use a flexible tape measure and allow it to "lay" in the pocket of the baseball glove as you measure. For first baseman gloves measure from the highest point on the glove in the same fashion as a fielders glove. All gloves are referenced for size by inches. Typically baseball gloves have a range from 9 inches (youth starter size) to 12.75 inches for adult outfield play. Catchers mitt sizes while expressed in inches are measured by circumference. Typically a baseball catchers mitt will measure in circumference from 30 inches (youth size) up to 34.5 inches with .5 inch incremental sizes in this range.

Baseball Bats

Baseball Bats come in adult baseball bat sizes to youth baseball bats sizes. Some of the top baseball bat manufacturers are:

Baseball bats are typically wood bats, fungo bats, training bats, tee ball bats, aluminum bats, composite bats or youth bats.

Aluminum Baseball Bats: Aluminum alloys are different by baseball bat manufacturer. The higher quality the aluminum baseball bat alloy, the higher the performance you will get from your baseball bat. Over the years, aluminum alloys have actually improved even for the lower priced baseball bats.

Composite Baseball Bats - Some bats are 100% composite, some have composite handles and alloy barrels. Materials used to make composite baseball bats vary between manufacturers, so read the bat descriptions carefully.

Wood Baseball Bat - Wood baseball bats are made of either ash, maple, bamboo, or even maple composite wood. Wood baseball bats have made a come back in recent years with the popularity of wood bat tournaments coming up all over the country. Wood baseball bats are primarily used in the MLB Professional baseball leagues.

Adult -3 Baseball Bats - For College Baseball or High School Baseball use - leagues: NCAA, NFHS

Senior League Baseball Bats - For youths ages 11 - 13 - Little League

Youth Baseball Bats - Little League, Babe Ruth, Cal Ripkin, Dixie, Pony

T-Ball Baseball Bats - Usually ages 4 - 6

Wood Baseball Bats - Are available for all leagues.

Fungo Baseball Bats - Fungo bats are much longer and thinner than bats used for games. They are designed to be swung repeatedly without making you tired. They are used for coaches to hit balls to their players to practice fielding grounders or fly balls. Fungo bats are available in wood or metal and a wide variety of colors.

Training Bats - Training bats differ from any other type of bat because they have special features that any other bat doesn't have. Some training bats have a completely flat side aiding the player to hit the ball square. Some training bats are meant to help you improve your swing mechanics using an adjustable weight feature. The classic thunderstick bat design is meant to improve hand-eye coordination.
